Or maybe I should make that, still.
You know when you have that dream where you’re just talking and talking and you can’t shut up? No? (This reminds me of the time when I was explaining a dream I’d had to my admittedly straighter-laced co-workers, and I said, “You know, that dream where you dream you’re the opposite sex?” and there were crickets. Big, honking crickets. ANYWAY). So, I am talking and talking, this time in an interview with the delightful blog, The Qwillery. Follow the link to read all about me, talking.
And if you’re not thoroughly sick of that little piece of non-stop yakkery, you can MIND MELD with me over at SF Signal. Totally not as scary as it sounds. Okay, maybe a little. The question du jour was “What book has influenced you on a really deep level?” Those of you who know me, know how friggin’ deep I am. Yes? Yes. So here I yak a little about how one teacher teaching a specific book affected me. The whole piece is an elaborate shout out to teachers, god love ’em. But, seriously, it was a real treat to participate in this meld, and SF Signal is a fine, fine site. Click on the link to happily lose yourself for awhile.
Still on the subject of me (why not), Deadroads does indeed seem to be in stores, according to my beloved sister. Photographic proof:
So, all’s well that ends well. The books finally are getting out into the hands of people that want/need/must have them (because they are relations).
For my next trick, I have another couple of interviews coming up…wait! Wait! Where are you going? I was just getting to the good part! …another couple of interviews coming up and a super duper wonderful public reading (with booze!) in June, which I will treat as an excuse to tie one on and shout at people as they’re politely trying to ignore me. Details to come soon.
In the meantime, if you’re reading Deadroads, please consider writing up a review on Goodreads and/or Amazon, because that kind of stuff counts.
Oh, I am also jealous as all hell of my friend Lizz Sisson, who has a free ticket to C2E2 this weekend. If you see her around, say hi and tell her I’m jealous.
